It was an action night at Red and Jerry's, Englewood, Colorado!
Thanks to Steve "Matchmaking" Mestas the fights were great.
The first bout was between middleweights, Zachary Hardrick (2-0) vs. Allen "Funky Cold" Medina ( 9-21-1 1 ko's) of the H.O.P. Boxing gym. Zachary added a quick win to his record, stopping Allen in the first rd by way of tko.
Both fighters are 6'+, Zachary found his range first and dominated Allen.

The next bout was between Heavyweights, Kenny "Sagrado Warrior" Lemos (11-7-2 8 ko's) out of D-Town gym vs. Louis " The Facelifter" Monoco ( 16-36-5 8 ko's) out of the Poor Boy Boxing gym. These fighters have fought three times, each winning a bout & one draw. The first rd started a little slow with each fighter showing respect. Towards the end of the rd Kenny starts landing crisp jabs. Keeping Louis on the defense. The second rd Louis came out more aggressive, landing two straight rights to Kenny's face, Kenny starts with the jab and ending with great combos to the right side of Louis. Kenny is applying pressure at the end of the rd. The next two rds Kenny is landing jabs, opening up Louis for combos, they stand in the middle letting the punches fly. Kenny catches Louis against the ropes with a straight right, left hook combo knocking louis's mouthpiece across the ring! Kenny doesn't stop throwing, dropping Louis to the canvas. After the standing 8 count. They both threw caution to the wind and were landing bombs! Kenny landed a double jab, right cross- left hook. Drops Monoco again, Monoco beats the count. Kenny wins by Unanimous decision.

The third bout was between Light heavyweights, Pablo Gomez ( 2-4-1 2 ko's) out of the H.O.P. Boxing gym vs. Fino Soltero out of Maytec gym
Pablo came out very aggressive, throwing some wild shots. He caught Fino a few times but nothing solid. Fino chose to stay on the defense looking for a counter.
In the second rd, Pablo starts where he ended the first rd, aggressive. Now, he is settling down and setting up the combos. Fino is content on countering, which lands a few solid punches to Pablo.
Third rd, Fino comes out the aggressor scoring some nice shots Pablo lands a flush left hand to Fino's face, realizing that Fino isn't going anywhere, and is here to fight. The last rd both fighters are throwing bombs, Pablo gets Fino against the ropes and scores to the body.
Pablo wins the bout by unanimous decision.






                                               Manual D. Lopez



The next bout, a 4 rounder was a debut for both fighters in the light welterweight. Manual D Lopez vs. Alejandro Ayala. Rd 1 both fighters show the jitters in the opening minutes. Manual show more discipline with hands up and good foot work. Then starts landing 1-2 jabs to the face of Alejandro, followed by 3-4 punch combos. Rd 2, the tempo and fight go up, as Alejandro becomes the aggressor landing his left hook at will. Manual catches Alejandro with a left hook/ right cross against the ropes, dropping Alejandro in the neutral corner.           After the standing 8 count, Alejandro is weak in the knees, Manuel catches him again with a double left/
right cross to the head, dropping Alejandro again. The third rd starts as the second round ended, with Manual bringing the heat! Manual lands 12 unanswered punches before referee stop the bout. Manual wins by way of tko! Manual has a great future ahead of him, if he is continual of his generalship in the ring.



The main event featured, Alfred "tornado" Romero ( 4-1 4 ko's) out of the H.O.P. Boxing gym vs. Daniel Calzada (3-4-2 1 ko's) out of Poor Boy gym. From the opening bell, both go at it like a "good ol ' fashion brawl"!
Daniel lands his right cross at will. There is a small mouse on Alfred's left eye. Rd 2 is the same, except Daniel is pressing in that traditional Mexican style. The last minute, Alfred is landing crisp combos to the body and head, but Daniel is not amused. He stays in the pocket, bobbing and weaving, still landing the right hand to Alfred's left eye.
In the third rd, Daniel continues the pace, landing combos to the body. Alfred answers with his own combos to the body, as he has Daniel against the ropes.The fourth to the sixth rd is the same give and take, with Alfred landing nice power shots, and Daniel staying in the fight showing a great chin.The last rd is as if it was the first rd, with both fighters throwing power shots at every chance. Alfred is landing rights to the head and finishing with a 3 punch combo. It was a war! Alfred wins by unanimous decision, ending A great night of fighting.
